Venetian Elegance
Fagotto Art Residences are housed in a listed Venetian building dating from 1540, built at the time to house the Venetian headquarters. Now fully renovated and tastefully decorated with objects from bygone eras, Fagotto Rooms operates as a charming hotel all year round. Its location is on Aggelou Street, one of the most beautiful and picturesque streets of Chania Old Town. The building consists of 2 comfortable double rooms, which have high windows with balconies overlooking the picturesque streets of the Old Town and, at the top floor a spacious one bedroom apartment suitable for 4 persons with a large flowered terrace. All rooms are equipped with shower room, refrigerator, coffee making facilities, VIP Amenities / Toiletries, flat- screen TV, free internet access and air condition. Fagotto Rooms are comfortable and maintain a traditional style with modern, elegant touches. Located in Topanas quarter, the hotel ensures easy access to many shops, cafes and restaurants on the atmospheric Venetian promenade and the Old Town, while the sandy beach of Nea Chora is only at 10 minutes’ walking distance. There is free public parking near by the hotel.
Fagotto Jazz Bar
On the ground floor of the building, Fagotto Jazz bar is in operation since 1977 when it first opened and it has been housed in this 15th century listed building (since 1948). It is the first and authentic jazz classic bar in operation in Greece. The atmospheric location of Topanas area, the great music and the imaginative cocktails, put it among the best choices in the island’s nightlife… An artistic hangout for meetings, discussions and ideas. Fagotto has been the passing point of many great Greek and foreign artists, transferring its myth across the border. Today, it still travels us with the same passion and exceptional jazz, blues and swing music… Everyday 21:00-onwards.
From the 1st of April until 30th of October we are serving breakfast and light snacks at Fagotto Jazz Bar. There is a variety of local ingredients and homemade products daily fresh served to ensure our guests get a real taste of Cretan flavors. Such us Homemade cream cheese, marmalades with fruits of the season, local cheese pies, fresh butter and bread and many more!
